These past few weeks have been some of the sweetest of my entire life. To grow deeper with Christ, to have a relationship with Him, to know Him on a personal level, not based on a friend’s faith, a family member’s faith, or a pastor’s faith, but based on the work He’s done in my life, the words He has spoken to my heart, the words of encouragement He has allowed me to hear from community, and the scriptures He has written and what has been revealed through it can lead only to the best life I’ve been graced to live. The word of our testimony is a gift. When we share our stories, we have the power to encourage one another in our faith and lives. Seeing the church from the other side of the world has helped me to see how big God is. The people of eSwatini are a loving, kind, family-oriented people who never fail to smile, wave, and spark up a conversation. The Lord has already begun to orchestrate encounters with the locals and through our ministry to show parts of His kingdom. For the first 2 weeks with the World Race, we took part in some training. This week, after 3 full days of travel from Monday-Wednesday we were finally at our destination for the next month in Manzini. On our first day, we walked around the city, praying for people and with people on our way. Those we met joyfully prayed with us.
On Friday, we began working at one of the care points located in the area, where we were able to love on kids from 2 to about 14 and were able to talk and act out the story of Noah’s Ark. The way that the kids there took us, complete strangers, into their home and just loved us as if we had known them for a lifetime was inspiring. My prayer is to love deeper for one another, whether I’ve known them 2 minutes or 23 years.
